How to Reach Taj Mahal from Agra Airport
Kheria Airport, also known as Agra Airport, is around 6 km from the Agra city center. Private cars are not allowed, so you can take the rentals available at the airport. From the airport, head in the north-east direction.Continue straight on the Mall Road, and you see the Asha School Ray of Hope on the left. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit, onto the Taj Road, when you see the Provincial Armed Constabulary on the right.
How to reach Taj Mahal from Agra Railway Station
Agra Cantt Railway Station – The main railway station in the city is near the Taj, where all the major trains have their stop. You can find prepaid taxi and auto-rickshaw. From the station, head in the east direction towards the Station Road.Continue straight on the Mall Road and go through the roundabout passing the Asha School Ray of Hope on the left. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit, onto the Taj Road, when you see the Provincial Armed Constabulary on the right.
Agra Fort Railway Station – The nearest Railway station to Agra which is at a minimal distance of 3 kms from the Taj Mahal.
From the station, head towards SH 62 (north-east on AH 43/ SH39), then turn right to take SH 62. Go straight through the roundabout and you pass by the park, turn left where you see the monument on the left. Take a sharp left and you reach the Taj Mahal. Depending on the time availability and the tour map, you can choose either one of the stations.
Modes of Transport
Government has banned both, petrol and diesel vehicles around the Taj Mahal area to conserve the beauty of the monument.
